Each product is crafted and finished for the individual.
Our hardware is finished by hand and sealed with a premium floor wax or lacquer, for protection. Even so, changes occur naturally through use, climate and the passage of time. Due to this, there will be variations, but the uniqueness of a patina lies in these variations, giving it character and appeal.
We buff and polish every item depending on the complexity of design. Our delicate chasings put a spotlight on the detailed ‘nakashi’ [hand carvings] — art is always at the forefront of our work.
We use hot and cold patina processes, and offer custom finishes in silicon bronze, white bronze, and brass.
Our work is steeped in the historic architectural method of metal chasing. Our craftsmen work intricate details into the metal wielding small chisels. They can raise, depress or push aside the malleable metal without removing it from the surface, creating delicate textural intricacies. Our textures can be applied to products that will elevate it to truly bespoke works of art.
To preserve the character of your hardware, we recommend cleaning it only with mild soap and water. Chemical cleaners or solvents will cause permanent damage.
